Capturing moments to last a lifetime.

Mark Lachovsky is a self-taught master photographer based in Montreal, Canada, where he was born and has resided all his life. His work has been published by Rolling Stone, Canadian Camera, and Our Canada amongst multiple other publications. Mark first delved into photography in high school, while working on the yearbook committee. After graduation, he continued to develop his skills and experience through various arenas, including freelance work with music magazines and university newspapers.

Over the years, Mark’s interest focused into two main areas; nature and music. Initially choosing to wait for developments in digital photographic technology to reach a level closer to that of slide film, Mark finally jumped into the digital world despite its shortcomings, mostly due to an appreciation for the speed and flexibility of a digital camera.
As an advanced certified scuba diver, Mark brings his Nikon equipment underwater in a sophisticated Aquatica housing that allows great freedom in creating underwater images as well as video. After years of trial and error in this complex environment, Mark now shoots with ease, capturing the stunning beauty of the underwater world.
